moving

The last few years have been pretty interesting over here in the airline industry! Geoff and I both worked for an airline that really kept us on our toes. We were displaced out of our bases multiple times and moved from Cincinnati to New York and then on over to Michigan where we stayed until we both quit for another airline. I said that I would move again but this time it was our choice to move to a base which we both Love and hope to stay at- Boston. :)

A few days after we got married, with the help of our wonderful families, we packed up all our belongings and hit the road for a 15 hour drive. What a way to start off a new life together.
We arrived in New Hampshire (our new home) and carried all the things up flights of stairs to our third floor apartment. Not the most fun but we all made it through with smiles on our faces.
Then we started to unpack the boxes and set up our new life here in the New England area.

It's taken us sometime to get to the point where we feel settled again and we are almost there! Even though we are again farther away from friends and family... it feels like we are right where we are supposed to be-starting our life for our new little family of two. :)

As much as I despise moving (and I have gotten good at it... a move each of the last 11 years of my life) I can't wait until we make one last move into a house someday....

I'll leave you with a few tips to not go crazy during a move.
1. People will do almost anything for the promise of pizza and beer
2. Moving is a great time to de-clutter and get rid of unwanted or unused things.
3. When overwhelmed, put on music and have a dance party.
4. If you can afford it- Hire movers!
