About Me

Welcome to the Friendly Skies!

My name is Megan, the story teller here at FlyTheFriendlySkies. I currently live in New Hampshire, am a mom to my adorable son Logan, baby daughter Quinn, a wife to my wonderful husband Geoff and a part-time Flight Attendant. In my corner of the web you will find lots of stories of my travels, our adventures into parenthood, my road to stay healthy and any other crazy ideas I feel like sharing. :)

Since you’re here, you’re probably wondering a little bit about me.  So, here goes...
I first started blogging way back in college but started this blog after I became a Flight Attendant.
I attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in Photography back in 2005. I worked in two different portrait studios after graduation and while I love photography, I didn't love the studio atmosphere. After a year, I knew I needed a change and interviewed for a Flight Attendant position and in the fall of 2006 I took to the skies.

Straight out of training, my inflight class was sent to fly out of New York's JFK airport, which was a big change from Cincinnati, OH. In the beginning, this blogs main purpose was to keep my friends and family updated on my adventures. The life of a Flight Attendant is very different from anything else and flying gave me a lot of stories so, I wanted to share with them a little bit of what I was doing and where I was going. Along with working in the skies, I have been blessed to travel to cities and countries all over the world which has been a life changing and amazing adventure...
My blog still remains somewhat personal, I treat it as a public type of journal or scrapbook of my life.

Since the beginning, I have moved from Cincinnati to New York, had a year to explore NYC, ran a marathon, moved to Detroit, got engaged, switched jobs to a second airline, had skin cancer, married my best friend, moved to New Hampshire, got pregnant and had a Baby boy, bought a house, pregnant again and had a baby girl!
Boy that is a lot...

I still photograph as time permits with my schedule... this time it is on my terms. Feel free to check out my website at Littlepetalsphotography (and let me know if you are in need of a photographer!)

Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog!
I absolutely love comments and making new friends so please feel free to introduce yourself and say Hello!!!
