How I pack- Inside my "food bag"

After flying for almost 4 years, I can honestly say that I hate eating out on the road. Now, I am not talking about eating a really good meal... I'm talking about grab and go airport, airplane and fast food meals. This reason alone gives me reason and motivation to pack food for every trip I go on. (Not to mention saving money and calories!) I try and mix it up a bit so I am not eating the same foods each week, especially the fruits and veggies. I took a photo of this past trips bag of food because it pretty much represents my staples (plus Tuna and oatmeal).

It does take a little bit of preplanning but my body thanks me when I can have a little bit of comforts of home on the road. I pack enough for breakfast, lunch and snacks and will grab dinner on my overnights (unless I am too tired and then just snack on whatever I have left). I alternate turkey, tuna, pb&j and also a chicken salad with pita wraps in the summer.

Since I carry a lot that needs to be kept cold I do have the added task of swapping out the ice in my bag a few times a day but it's worth all the hassle to me!

After a lot of talk of crew members trying to stay healthy and improving what we eat I decided to share my goodies. I think I do a pretty good job if I do say so myself! So, there you have it... a little bit of my life from the road.

Do you pack food and what are your favorites to pack? I love all and any new idea's.

(Above- Starbucks VIA coffee and coffeemate Creamers, Applesauce, Apples, Oranges, Fage Greek Yogurt, Almonds, Almond Butter, Carrots and Ranch dip, M&M's, Fruit strips, Dried Fruit, Granola and Lara Bars, Chips Turkey, Tomato, Spinach, Sandwhich Thins, Mustard.)

I do pack food many times. Mostly nuts and Cliff Bars. On some occasions, I may pack myself some PB&J sandwiches. I usually always carry some extra tea bags as well.

That's cool you are able to bring healthy things. That would be a pain to keep them all cold though. Especially the meat and salad.

I need you to pack my lunches for me... or just do my grocery shopping. Or maybe just make me lists? You pack much better than I do and I don't travel for work! Very impressive, Mega!
