After the fireworks ended, we walked down by the Capital building before heading back to the hotel. It was a great place to be if I wasn't able to be at home!

4th of July in DC
For the 4th of July I was on a 4 day trip. Luck for me, we flew into DCA for the holiday! My captain and I (once we were all settled in our hotel rooms) headed over to the subway and into the city. We got to the Mall about 10 minutes before the Fireworks. It had rained earlier in the day so the weather was great and the crowds weren't too crowded.
After the fireworks ended, we walked down by the Capital building before heading back to the hotel. It was a great place to be if I wasn't able to be at home!
