New York, New York

Flying in and out of JFK for work sometimes leaves me with a few times to head into the City. Here are a few photographs from Ryan visiting and when us new flight attendants hit up the big apple....

Of course we went to the World Trade Center right away. (Take the E train all the way to the end). The front entrance is pretty packed usually but the best views are from around the side.

If you walk down the front stairs, you can actually take the train through the WTC into Jersey. This we figured out at night (looking out into the base of where the buildings fell) which had a very different feeling then when we walked around in the daytime.

If you follow around the side and up the stairs, you will come to some window inside that have a pretty good view on how far they are on all the construction.

We did a lot of walking! And after eating brunch at Tom's Restaurant (from Seinfeld) We walked through Central Park and on over to FAO Schwartz and the Apple Store (see above).

Strawberry Fields in Central Park

More of Central Park.

If you continue on down 5th Avenue (while participating in a great deal of window shopping) you will find Rockafellar Center. Here is the home of one of New yorks infamous skating rinks.

One of my favorite free things to do is to take the Staten Island Ferry across. One the way over go up top and stand outside for great views of the Statue of Liberty. On the way back, I prefer the lower level out front for views of the city.

One of my favorite places is the Empire State Building at night. Photographs don't even do the view justice!
